FULL-TIME
BAR MANAGER
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bar
Manager who shall be experienced in the operation of an establishment with
members lounge and function room serving alcoholic beverages and snack products
to the membership. The Bar Manager will play a crucial role in continuing and
maintaining the current ambience within the club. The role is to operate all
aspects of the club bars and cellar on a day-to-day basis and provide a
pleasant and relaxing environment to the members.
The position requires a proactive and enthusiastic
individual who can manage tasks efficiently and contribute positively to the
overall atmosphere of the club.
Responsibilities
- The management of all bar staff to include rotas, staff hours.
- Will be responsible for all monies taken over the bar and sourcing change
for floats and some banking tasks
- Producing weekly sales reports and balancing with bar takings
- Maintaining a reliable stock within the Club bar and cellar.
- Ordering of all bar stock accounting for upcoming functions and
events
- Brewery enquiries, missing delivery items, late deliveries etc.
- Stocking the bars and ensuring stock rotation
- Purchasing of stock and cleaning items from Warehouse
- Liaison with brewery representatives
- The cleaning of beer lines to ensure quality of product.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness of bar area and associated
tasks
- The movement of all stock and stock security within the cellar
- Ensure all cellar and bar equipment is in good working order by
liaison with contractors and suppliers
- The ordering of all consumables (cleaning products, straws, fruits
etc)
- Manage in club and on-line diaries
- Taking function bookings and liaising with customer to ensure their
event requirements are recorded and arrangements made to meet their
requirements for access etc.
- Health and Safety inspections/on-going checks
- Assist with Social Media profile an promote club functions
- To assist in the response to alarm calls and breakdowns out of
hours
Skills
- Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate
clearly and calmly to staff, club members and members of the public
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in the Club
environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on customer
satisfaction.
- Ability to manage and work as part of a team while also
demonstrating initiative and good leadership
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact
effectively with members and colleagues.
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and presentation
standards.
Essential to the role
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
as required.
- Commit to additional hours of work as per the requirements of the
business and club diary, especially during the day for private functions,
funerals etc.
- To train as a Personal Licence Holder (if not already a licence
holder) and to become a Designated Premises Supervisor (when appropriate).
Examination cost to be met by the club.
Job Type:
Full-time
Guaranteed minimum
32 hours a week but expected to be an average of 35-40 hours depending upon
diary requirements. This will require availability during the daytime
throughout the week.
Pay: To be
discussed at interview stage.
Club Opening
Hours
Every
weekend plus Monday to Friday (actual shift pattern to be agreed)
Minimum Hours 3 x 5.5
hour shifts, 1 x 8.5 hour shifts plus 7 additional hours for
admin/deliveries/cellar cleaning/warehouse etc
Experience: Will
have excellent references and a proven track record in the hospitality sector.
